The Social Network

Story Overview: Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook has created one of the largest social network sites crumbling Myspace, Vampirefreaks, Livejournal in its hand. The film is a biography drama which shows how Mark created Facebook right out of his dorm room and the resulting lawsuits.

The Social Network is told from a few different lawsuit meetings which the accuse and the accusers flashback to events that led them to the current predicament. Mark Zuckerbergs story consists of stealing ideas and making them his own. He also gets led in different directions as people intervene to make the site a success. One thing I enjoy about the film are the quotes. Some great lines have been written for the actors. They make you think even after the movie with their empowering meanings. The Social Network is not a movie for enjoyment purposes but more to teach how Mark Zuckerberg had to create enemies to get to were he is. “You Don't Get To 500 Million Friends Without Making A Few Enemies” is the main quote this movie gives which is true. If you don't get that message, at least take in that the internet is not a safe place and anyone can collect information on you when posted.
